Planning & Stock Coordinator

Full-time Planning & Stock Coordinator for Moat Farm site near Tonbridge, Kent.

Part of Middle Management team. Responsible to Commercial Manager.

Applicants need to be local to Tonbridge and have their own transport due to the rural location.

Job Description

• Daily Production Plan
• • Responsibility for creating the Daily Production Plan in line with Customer orders and production capacity.
    • Ensuring information contained in the plan is correct and accurate

• • • Utilise stock appropriately based on quality or FIFO as necessary

• • • Create efficiencies through production runs

• • • Update accordingly throughout production day dependent on order volumes, additional orders or more capacity available
    • Add Production Jobs in to ERP system ensuring correct details and that they are restricted as appropriate to use correct stock
  • Develop longer term plans – daily , weekly, monthly

• • • Provisional Plans
    • Stock requirement and utilisation

• • • Capacity planning
• Daily Customer Orders
• • Maintain proactivity and engagement with customers to act as a daily point of contact
  • Receive daily customer orders and ensure plans are in place to cover off
  • Liaise with customers to ensure:

• • • Orders are correct
    • Any residue stock with short date-code is cleared

• • • Cover any additional orders where possible

• • • Discuss requirements for following days

• • Where required provide a stock sheet for customers to order from (wholesale customers)
  • Liaise with Packhouse on jobs, priorities and any changes to jobs required on a daily basis
  • Work with Packhouse and Warehouse to ensure product dispatched in a timely fashion
• Stock Management
• • Maintain stock accuracy and ensure data integrity on ERP system
  • Aim to work through stock as effectively as possible ensuring does not fall out of specification or is left behind

• • • Flag any potential shortfalls in raw stock
    • Identify and follow up any stock anomalies with Packhouse/ Warehouse

• • • Work with warehouse to ensure correct stock usage

• • • Maintain regular contact with account management to ensure correct utilisation of stock and ensure plans fit with customer requirements
    • Work with QC teams to best prioritise fruit based on quality parameters

• Commercial
  • Generate and maintain KPIs to manage departments in discussion with Commercial, Operations and Board of Directors
  • Aim to maximise returns by utilising sizes to minimise weight giveaway and prioritising better value lines

• • • Utilise Returns Comparison calculators to decide on availability
    • Regular review Pricing KPIs with Commercial to ensure best possible returns consistently achieved

• • Identify any further opportunities to improve returns
  • Provide cover for Planning and Commercial including on a weekend rota of not more than 1 in 3 weekends
• Reporting to Senior Management/ Board as required
